We've picked up development on Alset!
Almost two years ago we released a small prototype for our game Alset, but due to a lot of design and workflow related quirks (like how we built the levels) we decided to stop working on that project. We have however picked up production again with some major changes to the design, and we're aiming to turn this into a full game! We now have a clearer goal of what the game's pillars are, and how to serve them better.

For those who don't know what Alset is, it was supposed to be an homage to the late 90's - early 2000's 3D platformers, specifically Rayman 3 which I played avidly as a child. In short: the game and its design suffered from a lot of the problems those old games did, so we've changed a lot when it comes to the platforming aspect. The game is still 3D, and is still a platformer, but it's not a 3D platformer. For the intense action platforming segments we've gone more for a side-scrolling view, but kept the 3D view for exploration. And when it comes to exploration we have opted out the linear progression in our old design in favor of an interconnected and seamless world design. There is overall a ton of changes, and if you want to know more please follow us on Twitter!
